MTNA Composition Competitions

The MTNA Composition Competitions are national in scope. The purpose of the event is to encourage creativity and self-expression in student musicians through the art of composing and to recognize their achievements, as well as the significant work of their teachers.

All applications for MTNA competitions (performance and composition) must be submitted on the MTNA website.

*To enter students at the member teacher rate, teachers must renew their membership before a student begins the competition application. Students will be assessed a $150 non-member teacher fee if the membership is not paid for the current membership year.
